Finishing strong at the Bb. Pilipinas 2023 pageant, it comes as no surprise that beauty queen Anna Valencia Lakrini would have a stellar run at Miss Globe 2023. The 26-year-old was named 2nd Runner-Up, while Spain's Katia Agbodo Rodriguez was 1st Runner-Up, and Malaysia's Manvin Khera was crowned the winner in the competition held last November 17 in Albania.

She previously graced the MQ Vienna Fashion Week in 2017, and more recently, this year's Bench Fashion Week for Urban Revivo.
4. She loves sports.
Her interests include horse riding, running, going to the gym, hiking, and diving. She loves to swim and would go to the pool whenever she had the chance while preparing for Bb. Pilipinas 2023.
5. She's a pageant veteran.
In 2022, she flew to the Philippines to pursue her dream of being a beauty queen. She made it to the Bb. Pilipinas 2022 Top 15, and returned more prepared and confident in 2023 where she bagged her Miss Globe crown and also won the Best in Swimsuit and the Jag Denim Queen special awards.
6. She proudly embraces her Filipino roots.
Not only did she participate in santacruzan in Germany, she also chose the Pandanggo Oasioas folk dance for the Bb. Pilipinas 2023 talent segment because she believes that "To understand the culture, study the dance. To understand the dance, study the people."
7. She was discriminated for her skin color.
Growing up, people used to make fun of Anna because of her skin color and how she looked. This always made her feel like something was missing, and it was something she overcame when she went to the Philippines and finally felt at home.
8. She counts Pia Wurtzbach as her role model.
Wonder how Anna got interested in pageantry? Why, she was inspired by Queen P, of course! "I just want to be as determined and beautiful with a heart like you," Anna wrote in the caption of their selfie. Apart from sharing the same hometown, they also trained under the same pageant bootcamp: Aces and Queens.
9. She champions body positivity.
In an Instagam post, Anna opened up about how she would get insecure with whatever body type she had. As a nutritionist, she really had to focus on being healthy and not just on how her physique looks, and encourages others to do the same.
