At only 23 years old, YouTube star Zeinab Harake's tattoo collection is nothing short of impressive. You'll see exactly what we mean just by visiting her Instagram, where an array of small and bold designs are on display.
That said, even if Zeinab considers tattoos as her form of self-expression, she doesn't always assign meanings for everything she gets inked. The Stories Behind Zeinab Harake's Coolest Tattoos
1. "Zebbies" on her right arm
Starting off with one of her most visible tattoos, Zeinab had the name of her YouTube fans, Zebbies, inked on her right arm. "Dahil ganun ko kayo kamahal. Kung hindi man na ko maging vlogger sa mga susunod na ilang taon, at least 'yung Zebbies forever na sa akin kasi naging parte kayo ng buhay ko," she said, addressing her viewers.
At first, this tattoo only had the letters and two parallel lines around it. As time passed, however, Zeinab converted it into a blacked out armband to add to its edgy vibe.
2. An eye/tiger on her left arm
Originally, Zeinab had a tattoo of an eye and short barbed wires on her left arm. She revealed that this was inspired by the eyes of her ex-boyfriend Skusta Clee, because their daughter, Bia, inherited them. However, after the pair separated, Zeinab eventually had the design covered with the face of a tiger—an incredibly detailed one, at that!
3. "Don't let anyone dim your glow" on her back
Speaking of cover-ups, Zeinab had to correct her back tattoo after an extra word was accidentally added to her original quote. She and her tattoo artist fixed the error by putting the vlogger's birthstone, the turquoise, over the wrong word and adding flowers around it. In the end, Zeinab ended up loving the result more than the original version!
4. "1998" on her left forearm
Birth year tattoos are timeless, so it's no surprise that Zeinab has one of her own. She had hers placed at the back of her left arm in black ink. If you're a tattoo newbie, you might want to consider something like it as your first ink!
5. A gardenia on her right forearm
The gardenia vine on Zeinab's right arm might look like your average tattoo, but it's actually quite special for the YouTube star because it was an impromptu design by her father. The placement was decided by him, too. If you're curious, she documented the entire process in a vlog!
6. A snake on her abdomen
According to Zeinab, she had her sultry snake tattoo done after an appendix operation left her with a visible scar and stretch marks.
"Puti naman yung pinakatahi ko, kaya lang parang naco-conscious ako, so noong pina-tattoo ko sabi ko gusto ko ng ahas," she shared on Instagram live. Zeinab adds that because the tattoo has hidden her marks, she found the confidence to wear two-piece swimsuits again.
