When thinking of where to get pierced, one's first thought would probably not be their chest area. That said, former child actress Xyriel Manabat is certainly convincing us to give it a try. Right before Valentine's Day, she took to Instagram to share the cool studs she got on her chest.
Thanks to Don Antonio Tattoo, the 18-year-old finally crossed one thing off her "December 2021 bucket-list". Xyriel got three piercings down the middle of her chest, with one sticking out just at the bottom of her neck.
According to the folks at her tattoo and piercing parlor, Xyriel got something called a dermal piercing, which has a more complicated procedure than the regular kind because it lies flat on the body. "It [required] four punctures to seperate the skin inside [in order] to have space for the anchor or base of the jewelry," they tell Preview.
Considered as a "single point piercing," dermal piercings are inserted right into the skin, and they require the use of special jewelry. Though, they assure us that even with its apparent high pain level, the procedure is still quite tolerable, and one can expect the piercings to fully heal after a month or so, with the right aftercare.

And because it can be quite the process, you also need to get enough sleep and have a full stomach before settling down for hours on the piercing chair.
