Over the course of this quarantine, it’s no doubt that most of us have made drastic adjustments to our lifestyle. We learned how to paint our own nails, give ourselves a haircut, try out some new recipes—basically it’s been a compilation of DIY activities. Though to those who regularly go out for hair removal appointments, we know your dilemma. But if you seriously need to tame your bodily hair growth, and you're prepared to take the matter onto your hands, then you've come to the right place!
But first, here are some tips on how to go about your first DIY waxing session.
1. It’s important to identify the type of wax you are using.
If it needs to be heated, remember to test the temperature of your wax before application, you wouldn’t want it to be too hot to burn your skin. Additionally, there are specific waxes that are only to be used on the body or for the face, so make sure you're buying the right one!
2. Read the instructions of the product that you’re using.
There are some that need time to harden after being applied, and others that can be removed right away. Then after all of that, pulling swiftly gets the job done.
3. Do some precautions if you’re extra sensitive to pain.
You can choose to take a painkiller 30 minutes before or take a deep breath as you pull the wax off.
