Utter the word "chocolate" and you'll soon be transported to a haven of indulgence and delight. Not for nothing did cosmetics and skincare brand Shu Uemura tap this most decadent of confections as the inspiration for their latest collection of "mode makeup" that promises to "lift your emotions" and "celebrate your sweet and bitter memories and your delicious future."
Chocolat-Donna, Shu Uemura's Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, mainly offers three limited edition eyeshadow palettes, all inspired by a box of luxurious chocolates. The refillable cases let you customize your palettes with your favorite set of colors.
From left to right:
Raspberry & Mocha
This fruit-infused set includes glittery mocha, raspberry, creme mocha, and gold-accented mocha in pearl. Blend or layer with matte milk chocolate with the subtle gold accent or rich cacao to define your eyes.
Orange & Pistachio
A hint of spicy orange glitter, nutty pistachio, and crystallized ginger peel with gold accents. Blend with rich shades of matte milk chocolate with golden accents or define the eye with cacao.
Mint & Vanilla
A fresh spice and savory herb selection that includes glittery golden vanilla, mint, and powdery vanilla shades. Complimented with pearl mocha with gold accents and rich cacao for defining the eyeline.
Equally exciting and decadent as these eyeshadow palettes is Shu Uemura's most luxurious cleansing oil yet. The Ultime8 Sublime Cleansing Oil contains eight botanical oils which promise eight skincare benefits:
We tried this beautiful oil as soon as we got our hands on the sample and indeed, its cleansing powers are unmatched. Personally, it's my favorite cleansing oil from Shu's entire cleansing line. It's light and lovely on the skin, and it effectively stripped off my makeup without leaving my skin taut or leaving behind any oily residue. My skin felt like cashmere afterwards!
