It’s easy to make a judgment based solely on first impressions, but how are we to know when what we’re seeing with our naked eye is already disturbingly far from the truth?
A few weeks ago, Japanese cosmetics brand Shiseido launched an ad which shortly became viral days after. Directed by ShÅ Yanagisawa, the video features several high school girls and a shocking twist that proves just how looks can be deceiving. Beginning with a female professor who opens the door to her classroom, the clip pans slowly and zooms in on the made-up faces of the students. As the camera reaches the last girl in uniform, the background music transitions into a rap song while taking the viewers backward in time to reveal the truth behind those pretty flawless faces.
