Most of us agree that losing weight is never fun. TV personality and health aficionado Reema Chanco begs to differ. Beginning her foray into the fitness training field, Reema offers classes in TRX or Total Resistance Exercise. It's a new breed of muscle toning, strength building set of movements that only involve ingenious elastic straps and your own body.
First introduced to TRX by her friend Gilbert Tang, of Chris Sports Store, her first training gig came in the form of helping a good friend try to lose some weight. Initially accompanying her friend to the gym and observing how her then trainer conducted her workouts, Reema realized that she could help the former achieve the same results but with newer techniques and in a more fun environment. So upon prodding from Gilbert, Reema got certified and is happy to report that her friend has lost 20 pounds over the last year.
A body weight exercise that keeps you suspended while attacking the core, TRX allows for fluid motion while keeping your body tense and your muscles working. Allowing you countless different exercises based on your needs or wants, Reema shares that one of her favorite facets of the workout is how you can do five different exercises in a matter of five seconds with minimal changes is form and stance.
