Have you been wanting to get a drastic makeover but still couldn’t find the guts to do it? This might just be the motivation you need.
While most girls could spend forever shilly-shallying about whether or not to take the plunge, this kawaii fashion blogger wouldn’t even bat an eyelash before dyeing her hair blonde. Tricia Gosingtian has gone from brown to blonde, from long to short, and in more ways than some of us could ever manage in a lifetime. So if you’re on the hunt for an instant #hairspiration, take cues from the girl who’s been there and done that.
Below, a blow-by-blow account of her hair transformation over the years:
September 2011
We can still remember back when Tricia scored heaps of hypes from Lookbook.nu with her golden brown tresses, which she normally styled in a perfectly coiffed top knot with side bangs.
October 2011
A month later, the Slumber Doll dared to undergo an extreme makeover a.k.a hardcore bleaching. Say hello to the blonde Tricia Gosingtian!
May 2012
She liked it long and straight, and welcomed showing off her roots, which we love because it gives her hair color depth.
June 2012
After a striking buttery hue, there came a swift shift to brassy blonde curls.
October 2012
Before the year ended, she dyed it back to a darker shade: caramel brown (with ash blonde highlights, natch!).
January 2013
Come 2013, Tricia tried out a sunkissed blonde sombré (subtle ombré).
August 2013
After chopping off her long locks a few months later, this doll went darker at the roots, while keeping the tips ash blonde.
September 2013
A year later, Tricia surprised us once again with a lob and dyed her hair in a rich wine hue. Even we can’t believe how she keeps her mane looking silky and shiny in spite of going for a color on the opposite side of the color spectrum.
December 2013
Then finally, a brighter red as the year went to a close. We sort of saw this one coming.
March 2014
And when she grew tired of her fiery red hair, she switched back to—yup, you guessed it!—blonde (but nuanced—see how her bangs are a darker shade).
June 2014
We never thought we’d see the day, but shortly after, Tricia decided to finally switch to the dark side. And we mean really dark.
July 2014
She’d even wear hair extensions sometimes. Her long black hair and bombshell waves could pass for a shampoo commercial.
November 2014
During the last quarter of 2014, this kawaii fashion blogger went back to a reddish violet hue to switch things up.
December 2014
And as much as we wanted it to last, the red-black-violet fling ended way sooner than expected, and Tricia went for a copper shade before the year ended.
May 2015
Last time we spotted her, she has come full circle and is once again donning tresses in her favorite gradient blonde-brunette combination.
