Need an upkeep for your fringe?

Here's a little rule that we all should follow: For any drastic hair change that you want for your hair—be it a cut or a new color—see an expert. They know best! But if you insist that you think you can do it on your own, and you've got enough confidence in yourself, then at the very least you should own the right tools to help you execute the perfect snips. Below, we've got a starter kit for your hair trimming needs:

Remember that wet hair is a big no-no when cutting your bangs. Water weighs down your hair, so as your hair dries, it shrinks and will deceive you into cutting it shorter than intended. What you can do is to comb your hair, gather your longer locks into a ponytail, and then use a clip to secure your fringe. Use a tail comb to specifically separate the strands of your bangs from the rest of your hair.

Trim from the center and dust over the tips. You can always trim more later on. Keep checking how it looks before cutting again. Don't forget to trim the left and right sides a little longer than the center part to frame your face better. Brush and spray with a straightening mist to keep the frizz away.
