We're all about updating out makeup routines, but the classics can beat the latest craze online any day. Below, six makeover masters reveal their thoughts on timeless beauty looks that transcend trends.
1. Flushed Cheeks
For Denise Go-Ochoa, flushed cheeks are universally flattering, especially in our tropical climate. But she cautions, "The look won't be as flattering if there's too much oil on the face, you'll instead look more sunburnt and sweaty instead of fresh and flushed." So take her advice and layer a powder blush, not cream, over a light, semi-matte primer to avoid looking greasy.

2. Matte Lips
Jake Galvez admits that matte lips are his favorite trend going as far as to call it "the future of statement lips." The formulation, which is comfortably matte yet creamy, gives you a luxe high-pigment finish. The best part? "It is great for long-term wear and won't dry your lips," he adds.

3. Supernatural Skin
The best makeup look of all, according to beauty expert Jigs Mayuga? "Natural makeup is timeless. Just look at backstage beauty shots from runway shows each season and you'll notice that natural makeup is always present." To nail the no-makeup look, he recommends using lightweight and translucent products to emphasize clear, beautiful skin.

4. Blue as the New Neutral
Mickey See states that blue is the new neutral. Not too comfortable with color? Mickey suggests easing into it and picking the right shade for you. "Bold women can wear blue eyeshadow; others who want something less dramatic, a cobalt eyeliner; and for those who want an even more subtle look, try a dark midnight blue mascara."

5. Warm Skin
Cristine Duque says that "having a bit of color or a tan has always been the look of health." Now, to achieve the "vacationing in the Maldives" look year-round, Cristine advises trying one of the following: self-tanners, but "make sure to exfoliate and follow instruction;" bronzing powders "applied on the areas of the face where the sun would normally hit you, like your temples, cheeks, and chin;" bronzing gels "mixed with your moisturizer" for a sheer finish.

6. Bushy Brows
Taking a cue from runway trends, Robbie Piñera claims that "the way makeup is going now is lived in, it's seamless with absolutely no hard lines." Zooming in on brows, he says, "the new brows are natural, raw, and somewhat boyish." His top tip to achieve this: "Just groom the stray hair and keep the fullness on."
