So you basically recreate a "plakado" eye makeup look on your hand.

Think of it as swatching, but instead of trying on lipstick or eyeshadow shades, you're testing out possible eye makeup looks to realistically wear. You get to practice a bit of contouring, shading, lining, and your more advanced drawing skills if you really want a lifelike iris.
