Spearheaded by Merz Aesthetics, the hunt for the most well-proportioned faces in Asia is now ongoing, and you can totally join if you want to!
The MAAT Golden Ratio Search, as it's called, is a structured program that selects ideal facial morphotypes across Asia to bring the published Pan Asian consensus to life. Unlike conventional beauty contests, it does not select a single prime winner. Rather, it presents faces from ten diverse ethnic backgrounds who all fit with the ideal facial morphotype based on symmetry calculations.

So what is the Golden Ratio, exactly? According to Merz, it's when the line from the trichion (forehead beginning from the hairline) to the menton (lowest point on the chin), and right to left cheek at the widest area should be measured 1.618:1. Pretty cool.
Aiming to subvert the underrepresentation of Asian women in the world of beauty by highlighting their diversity, the search will be conducted in the Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
