Filipinas LOVE lipstick. But sometimes, the lipsticks we love don't feel the same—we step out of the house and the color's all wrong, we look in the mirror midday and it suddenly makes our skintone look ashy, or it suddenly looks garish and way too bright once it dries. But worry not, fellow lipcolor lovers, because Chanel is here to save the day—at least their Rouge Coco Gloss is. In their Naples-inspired spring/summer collection, you'll find this peculiar piece of makeup with the shade called Aphrodite.

Apt, because, we're in love—first because it's neon in the tube, but translucent on your smoochers. Don't be scared of the color—it's actually very reflective, that's why in the tube it looks super bright. But on the lips it's pretty sheer.
Second, it adjusts for you when you're in a sticky lippie situation—for example, here, a peach matte lipcolor is applied but we feel it's too orange.

So we take Aphrodite and we swipe it on over the base color and at first, it only glosses up your look, no biggie.

But as it absorbs, it turns into a more calmed down peach nude.

Finally, when it settles into your base color, it's a lot darker and cooler in shade.
Pro tip: Use a lipstick that's REALLY matte (the kind that sort of dries midday) so it sticks well, plus you can finally use it comfortably, too. The lipgloss isn't sticky at all as well—it's a plush, jelly-like finish that actually stays on for 3-4 hours—that's if you stay indoors, away from hair-whipping winds or oily sauces. And it's makeup—you can always reapply.
