Last week, the Style Bible team got lucky to meet the candidates of Miss Earth 2013, the only pageant that promotes a very timely advocacy, eco-tourism. Ladies who will be fortunate to bag the title will serve as eco-ambassadors that will inspire everyone to work for a sustainable earth. This year, they focus on showing the natural wonders of the Philippines to boost the influx of tourists in our country, eventually to help defy poverty.
We were certainly caught with hair envy when we met all the 90 Miss Earth 2013 candidates. Everyone was captivating with their flawless makeup and beaming smiles. While observing each lady sashaying with grace, we zeroed in on one common denominator: shiny, fabulous hair. Looking back at the past beauty pageants, we’ve concluded that having lustrous, larger-than-life locks is an age-old tradition! They may choose to wear it up in a high bun during the long gown portion, but they mostly let their hair flow freely the rest of the competition. It’s the first thing the judges spot when they get centerstage—making beautiful hair as a beauty queen’s strongest asset. We spy on the Miss Earth 2013 candidates to reveal their secret on acing perfect, beauty queen hair.
The coronation night will be held on December 7, 2013 at 8:00pm with a live broadcast on Fox Network's Star World; the Latin American countries through VENEVISION, Venezuela; and the Mexico and USA territories through MVS/UNO TV. Delayed telecast here in the Philippines will be covered by ABS-CBN the following day, December 8, 2013 at 10:00am. Miss Earth is presented by HANA Shampoo.
