Before their catchy pop acts invaded Manila and dramatic telenovelas gripped our attention, our neighboring country Korea, also brought us a great import in the beauty industry. The Face Shop (TFS), a personal care franchise now celebrates four years in the country, having grown to be a staple in every major mall in the metropolis. Aside from spanning 23 locations in Manila, the newest located in the swanky Newport Mall, Resorts World, TFS has also grown worldwide, with 900 stores found in 20 countries.
Three main concepts surround the success of TFS. First is Nature, using only natural ingredients as the base of their products, second is Variety, making sure that every niche is covered in personal care products for both men and women, and lastly, Value, keeping price points low to allow accessibility to a wide range of customers.
Aside from their anniversary in our country, TFS as a company also recently reached another milestone in the form of their acquisition by LG Household & Health Care (LG H&H), which only further broadens the possibilities for growth of the brand in the future.
To celebrate their fourth birthday, the media, celebs and some of the shop’s most loyal customers gathered for a day of fun makeup. Six celebrity guests–Isabelle Daza, Kelly Misa, Megan Young, Denise Laurel, Regine Angeles, and Sarah Lahbati were prettied using their wide range of products under the guidance of beauty editors and very capable TFS makeup and hair artists. A final catwalk presentation of the girls sporting the fab makeup looks culminated the activity.
