But take heart: You mustn’t forget the power of feeling good about the way you look. Perfecting your complexion and giving it healthy color with blush may be the pick-me-up you need.

Nars Soft Matte Complete Foundation

For those who prefer a matte finish to glass, this foundation gives natural-looking coverage in over 30 shades. Their claim: it’s comfy to wear even if you have it on all day, and we’re talking more than 16 hours.

Tester Review: “This foundation is lightweight, matte but not drying, true-to-color, and has a wide range of shades for everyone. Putting this on achieves a finish I usually only get when I have my makeup professionally done, not to mention how it lasts on my oily skin for long hours, only letting a smidge of oil show through so I barely have to blot. NARS always delivers with their bases, but out of all their formulas, I can honestly say this is the one that’s hit holy grail status for me.”–Nicole Arcano

2. L'oreal True Match Foundation

The update to this favorite foundation is the addition of 3 shade enhancers, so it really becomes your  true match as you apply it. It has hyaluronic acid, which helps keep skin hydrated throughout the day.

Tester Review: “This became my go-to foundation just because it doesn't melt off when I commute even during the summer—and I'm talking rush hour in the MRT (when it was still safe, of course!) I also like its demi-matte finish. So even though my skin is super oily, I do like the subtle glow it gives since I'm already in my 30s. It makes my skin look healthier and younger.”–Maura Rodriguez

3. Shiseido Synchro Skin Powder Foundation

The brand’s newest foundation is packed with skin-caring technology that preserves the flawless finish it gives all day. First, patented ActiveForce technology keeps the product from budging with sweat, oil, and een facial movement. Apart from Wild Thyme Extrant, a natural antioxidant, the creamy powder formul also has protective polymers that prevent pollution and dirt from sticking to skin.

Tester Review: “I would recommend this to anyone who deals with a really oily T-zone. It's a seamless non-cakey powder foundation with a true matte finish. It's perfect to set any hydrating foundation so that your base will look fresh throughout the day.”–Maura Rodriguez

4. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in Honey

The award-winning, well-loved product—because it doesn’t cake and gives a soft and luminous finish—was launched in this warmer shade this year, giving dusky-skinned gals a nice match. Consider this the powder you need to give your complexion, and selfies, that beautiful blurred skin perfection.

Tester Review: “This is the perfect setting powder for medium golden or olive complexions--it truly makes a difference. The effect is amazing: It doesn't leave a white (even ashy sometimes) cast especially under my eyes. I love that it blends into my makeup rather than just sitting on my skin.”–Nikki Santiago-Rivera

5. Pond's Instabright Glow Up Cream in Golden Sunshine

Think of it as tinted moisturizer that gives skin a golden healthy glow. The lightweight, non-greasy formula has hyaluronic acids and Vitamin B3+, which hydrate and brighten, making it easy to achieve that glowing glass effect with just one step.

Tester Review: “I’m not gonna lie, I was skeptical about this product but I guess it's true that drugstore finds CAN surprise you. At first, I got scared with the bronzy, shimmery color but I was taken aback when it disappeared nicely onto my skin and left it with a dewy glow. It's also light enough to be used on top of your usual moisturizer, but a word of advice is to use it sparingly and strategically if you don't want to shine all over. A pea-sized squeeze is also more than enough if you're planning to use it to brighten your face.”–Steph Sison

6. Ever Bilena Blush Rush

It comes in a handy roller bottle which makes this liquid blush a cinch to apply and tote around. Infused with skin conditioning ingredients, the tint gives a natural flush while keeping skin supple while you have it on.

Tester Review: “I'm normally not a fan of roller tints, but EB's Blush Rush is an exception because of its super blendable formula and flattering colorways. A little goes a long long way with this product and it applies pretty pigmented on your first dab. It does settle into a beautiful flush once blended out and set with powder. My go-to shade is Toast of New York that looks like a healthy after workout blush on your cheeks.”—Maura Rodriguez

7. BLK Face Stack Multi Pot in Room Service

This all-in-one color product can be used on your cheeks, lips, and eyes to add a healthy dose of color. The circular pan is designed to be stacked with other colors from the range, so you can put together and take your favorite shades with you like a custom palette.

Tester Review: “First things first, the packaging was so thoughtfully designed with a mirror, magnetic closure, and potential for stacking. Next, the formula is easy to apply, with just the right amount of buildable color pay-off when you tap and blend. (I like that it was easy to blur out by tapping so I didn't need to rub my skin.) Lastly, the shade I tried, Room Service, really was pretty to wear on my cheeks, lips, and eyes.” – Isha Valles

8. MAC Glowplay Blush in Heat Index

This cushion-y cream blush can conveniently be applied with either a brush or your fingers. The non-acnegenic, dermatologist tested formula comes on sheer but can be built-up to a natural medium color finish.

Tester Review: “Mochi and makeup in a pot? Best believe it's true! I love how it's so enjoyable to put on (as make up should be) first and foremost. It's a cream blush but dries matte, and dab goes a long way. It's also easy to blend with your fingers especially if you're a noob in using beauty tools. It stays put all day, too! The only con for me is that the product can't easily be sanitized and debris can easily get stuck onto it.” – Steph Sison
