"Wala akong pake na nilalait nyo ako. Ang pake ko, bakit kayo nanglalait in the first place?"

Even before she embodied the gutsy character of Lexy in The Broken Marriage Vow, Sue Ramirez has always been a fighter. Starting out in show biz at only 13 years old has practically made her immune to any bashers.

In a recent upload on Karen Davila's YouTube channel, she expressed that, "wala na po akong insecurities. Bata pa po ako, naga-artista na po ako, nabato na lahat ng bashing sa akin."

One thing that Sue's been previously berated about is her body. The actress has heard it all, from her chest being likened to plywood, to her chin gaining her the nickname of "siopao face". As belligerent as internet trolls can get though, Sue simply does not care anymore.

"Sa totoo lang, wala akong pake na nilalait nyo ako, ang pake ko, bakit kayo nanglalait in the first place? Why would you want to make other people feel bad about themselves?"

"Deserve natin na ipaglaban ang sarili natin," she declares. "Hindi natin deserve na lait-laitin tayo [because of] how we're built, because we're all built differently. Nobody's perfect."

Karen quips that Sue's manner of speaking when it comes to the issue comes off as quite diplomatic. The 25-year-old agrees, and says that even her friends have dubbed her as "Gabriela Silang" because of it. "I want people to open their minds. Kapag nakakita sila ng babaeng naka-two-piece, hindi dapat nila binabastos ang babae. Lahat tayo ay galing sa kababaihan. Deserve natin ang respeto. Deserve natin i-demand ang respeto na yon," she eloquently puts it.

Sue attributes her wisdom and grit to being raised by her mom, whom she describes as a "very, very strong woman." In the same vein, she thinks that a child's parents should be the first people that teaches them how to be respectful to anyone, regardless of gender.

"Dapat alam na nung mga bata talaga kung paano mag-react sa mga babae, sa mga kasama natin in the LGBT community. Kahit sa kalalakihan, pantay-pantay tayo lahat eh." Well said, Sue!
