Stage Right Make Up For Ever steps behind the Face-Off black curtain.

Three of the country's most beloved and well-known designers held a friendly fashion showdown for Philippine Daily Inquirer's Face-Off at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) last June 23rd and famous Parisian studio beauty line Make Up For Ever was there, together with makeup artist Eric Maningat's team, to provide the backstage magic for the models and muses of industry greats like Rajo Laurel, Rhett Eala and Randy Ortiz.

Rajo, whose one of two themes was The Ballet, favored a fresh, danseuse-inspired look of blush pinks and golds to go with the soft, graceful layering and draping of his collection. His other set, a tribute to Samsung, featured dresses from the Rajo Red Insect Collection and thus featured a darker and more dramatic makeup look to match.

Cocktail dresses that oozed with intricacies and a major attention to detail, inspired by Cristobal Balenciaga himself, was the central theme of Rhett's show. His makeup reflected the elegance of the collection, with clean, defined eyes and rich berry lips, the epitome of formal beauty, taking precedence.

Rounding out the Royal R's is Randy, whose play on art and texture was fully celebrated in his collection. The graphic color palette of black and white, purple, gray and yellow was polished off with an equally striking makeup style—smoky metallics and high, high hair were definite attention-getters. Make Up For Ever also included a pleasant surprise: a Barbie-pink lip to soften everything down.

Bravo gentlemen and Make Up For Ever for a job well done!
