With her stunning face and feisty personality, Song Jia inevitably became the breakout star of Netflix's Single's Inferno. We ourselves couldn't help looking her up online while watching the show, and as expected, the stylish 24-year-old is definitely worth a follow (her Instagram and YouTube channel won't disappoint you!).
Eventually, Jia's newfound fame led to old interviews resurfacing online. The most popular of the bunch is a guesting on the MBC's Video Star from 2020, in which she openly admitted to getting plastic surgery—much to the cast's surprise.
The video clip, which now has over three million views, covers the lengths that Jia had gone as a self-proclaimed "attention seeker."
For example, as a high school student, it was said that she would wake up at 4 or 5 A.M. every day just to do her hair before class. The process would take her about an hour and a half—talk about commitment!
"Ever since I was young, I was always greedy when it comes to beauty," she admits. "Usually, the rest of the kids would be to tired in the morning and just come to school with their hair just messy and crazy, you know? But I always had it done with gel, nice and neat."
But that wasn't the only intense beauty step she did at that age. Jia also had cosmetic surgery done on her nose during her junior year, which she admitted in the interview. She confidently showed off the results, too!
Despite what many assume, however, a nose job is the only type of cosmetic surgery Jia claims she has done. According to the influencer, her eyes and small face in particular are simply the gift of her dad's genetics.
"There was an assumption that I got eye surgery, but if I did my eyes would be symmetrical," Jia explained in a Q&A vlog.
She also shut down allegations that she gets lip fillers in the same video: "I did only nose surgery, I didn't do lip filler. I just use lip pencil and overline," she said.
In short, it seems like Jia has nothing to hide about even if it's about going under the knife. If you want more proof, though, her baby photos speak for themselves!
