Matching your makeup with your outfit is a quick trick for a full monochrome moment. That said, there's absolutely no harm in picking an unexpected color combo for a look that truly pops.
Take Sarah Lahbati in this Boom Sason number, for one. One would expect her to go for a clean emerald eye or some graphic eyeliner, but her makeup artist Anthea Bueno had something else in mind. "I was thinking of a warm makeup look [to complement] her green dress," Anthea tells Preview. "Then I thought, 'Why not amp it up with orange?'"
And amp it up she did, creating this peach-toned glam with gradient eyes and lips. Gorgeous!
On the eyes, the makeup artist applied a lipstick by Laura Mercier to create a matte base, and then used peach, orange, and gold shades from the Natasha Denona Sunset palette to achieve the two-toned look.

Her lip color had the same gradient effect, too! Anthea shares that she did it by applying a light peach color from Sunnies Face all over the lips first, blending it out so there aren't any visible lines. On top, she swiped on a deep terracotta shade to add dimension to Sarah's pout.
