At Sandara Park’s Meet & Greet as the frontliner of Penshoppe’s Spring-Summer 2016 campaign, Style Bible got a chance to catch up with the Asian superstar. Being a music and style icon with almost four million followers on Instagram, Sandara shares that indeed, a lot has changed when it comes to her fashion choices since she moved to Korea. “My stylist is a guy. When I first started, he would get me to wear his clothes. Narealize ko, bagay pala sakin oversized clothes.”
Her biggest fashion tip? Just be yourself. “Koreans are not really experimental. Noong una, I was afraid sa iisipin ng mga tao pero kung meron kang confidence, you look more cool. Pag naiilang ka, mas iisipin nila ang weird. Just be yourself, wear what you want to wear, and try different things,” said the Korean beauty who admits to being obsessed with Penshoppe’s ripped jeans, joggers, and denim jacket.
Of course, we couldn’t let the interview end without asking how on earth she manages to look so young and radiant. Her answer is simple. “Makeup can make you look young, pero mas important to remove your makeup para talagang malinis.” You know how Koreans are known for their face masks? Sandara apparently only uses them on special occasions. “After removing my makeup and meron akong special event like today, maglalagay ako ng mask para ma-moisturize habang natutulog. Not everyday, pag may important lang na gagawin,” she revealed.
With a face as perfectly radiant as hers, you wouldn’t think she had issues, but according to the star who just finished filming her first Korean movie to come out this summer (summer in Korea is from July to August), she actually has dry skin. “Medyo dry kasi skin ko, so I put a lot of moisturizer. Lalo na sa Korea pag winter. Grabe mag-dry skin ko so naglalagay ako ng madaming moisturizing cream. Yun lang, wash your face, toner, eye cream, and moisturizing cream.”
