With tickets to the show each costing five digits, the Red Cross Ball featuring Michael Cinco’s creations did not disappoint. With the couture creations following a seamless progression that graduated from blinding white to bronzed nude to a sunset gradient, the hair of the show followed an equally interesting evolution of styles. The secret weapon of all forty looks? A gratuitous use of extensions.
Ria Bolivar started the show with a navajo-meets-scifi slick high pony that ended in a fluttering of white feathers. Armor-clad ladies followed next with tightly fastened braided faux hawks. The plaits loosened up for the ethereal numbers, isolating the braids to lacing the hairlines converging into a soft V above the nape. As things turned bridal with Georgina Wilson, ANTM’s Claire Unabia and Marina Benipayo, hair went classic with cascading soft curls, fit for any girls’ big day.
