What should a rose gold hair color look like?
Rose gold hair colors are usually characterized by a blend of golden blonde, pink and red tones. “It’s the perfect balance between gold and pink,” says Maté. “You can go [for] darker shades or even go lighter up to pastel rose gold.”
However, as intimidating as it looks, Fendi thinks it's one trending shade that can suit everyone when done right. “It’s a very unique color with lots of character that's here to stay, and it’s one of my favorite colors,” he shares.
Does rose gold suit Filipina hair?
The short answer is yes! Anyone with natural dark tresses can cop rose gold hair. “If the hair color [is on] level 6 and up or natural hair level 3-4 and up and the bond of the hair are strong, it’s easily achievable,” Fendi says.
That said, Maté points out that it achieving a rose gold mane is still a long process. “You have to be very patient and have a very good aftercare [routine] for your hair,” he says.
How do you achieve a rose gold hair color?
“After the consultation, we start the lifting. It takes a longer time but it’s absolutely safe, no dryness or damage at all," according to Fendi. He shares that in most cases, they usually leave the hair to become pure blonde to prevent brassiness. “The color application depends on what we and the clients desire to achieve, we can do toner applications at the sink or color application in the chair (if balayage),” he added. And just when the color starts to fade, Fendi recommends doing a once-a-month toning session to keep the color as desired.
