Wing it in five minutes.

What: Skin Potions Meow Eyeliner Stamp

A dual-ended stamp eyeliner designed to make cat eyes easy. It has a triangular stamp on one end to create the wing and a felt tip liner on the other to fill in the gaps and complete the look. For wear time, it claims to be smudge-proof and water resistant.

Current Condition:

I was never really blessed with winged liner skills, but the look was my go-to when I was still new to makeup. Back then, I always struggled to make the wings even and took at least 20 minutes to get it right. That's probably why I eventually stopped using liquid liner a few years later. Now, I mostly rely on pencils and eyeshadow to create that elongated, cat eye look in less than five minutes.

How I Used It:

Since I haven't worn winged liner for about two years, my initial run-in with the Meowliner was a struggle. That said, I would imagine doing my eyeliner with a regular felt tip would've been more difficult. But, thankfully, I managed to skip the harrowing wing-sketching step entirely with this!

When I first stamped a wing on my eyes, I didn't press hard enough so the wing was quite sheer. I needed to fill the shape in with the felt tip, which could easily become a disaster if you're not careful. It does serve as a good guideline if that's the only thing you need to create a good wing. My advice? Put more pressure on the stamp so it delivers stronger pigment.

As for the felt liner, I used it to fill in my lashline and the gaps in the stamped wing. I found this end to be quite sturdy and precise, so it was easy to get in between my lashes up to the inner tearducts. Here's the finished look with the full wing and some mascara:

Conclusion:

If you're not the best at liner, this product should make your life ten times easier. I should say that mastering the application still takes practice since you have to figure out the right angles to stamp your wings on. After that, you should finish both eyes in five minutes or less.

But if I were to choose my favorite thing about this product, it would be its longevity. I've worn this on 14-hour work days and in humid environments and not once did I experience any smudging or bleeding. It never really faded throughout the day either, nor did it flake off when my eyelids got oily. I have to give props to the felt liner as well; it was very user-friendly and I would definitely use it alone once I get my cat eye skills back on track.
