What it is: COSRx Clear Fit Master Patch is a hydrocolloid patch that protects wounded parts of the skin to prevent further irritation. Designed to be thin and transparent, it claims to look almost undetectable over and under makeup.

The problem with being a foundation-wearer is that I tend to put makeup over my pimples to maintain an even application. Doing this isn't really good for my skin, which is why I've always been intrigued by acne patches (read more about this skin savior here). Sadly, the ones that I've tried before weren't makeup-friendly. They looked too obvious. Thankfully, CosRX released one that promises to be the complete opposite, and it's exactly what I was looking for.
How I Used It:
Like your average pimple patches, the Clear Fit Master Patch is meant to be worn before makeup. So to use it, I simply stick the patch over a healing spot after doing my skincare. But if you have oily skin or need more coverage, it's recommended to be used after cleansing and before moisturizer.
Once the sticker is secure, I proceed with my usual foundation routine, although I make sure not to apply too much product over the patch. Don't expect your makeup to completely cover the sticker either because it won't!
My work days usually last for 12 hours, which is longer than the eight hours the patch should stay on the skin. So around mid-afternoon, I peel off the sticker, wipe off any oil and residue, and then apply a fresh patch. I also recommend taking off the patch if it has absorbed enough oil or pus; you'll notice the sticker turn white when this happens.
I must admit that when I first tried this product, I used it over an active pimple. It was big, swollen, and ready to pop any time, so putting the patch over it was a huge mistake. The pimple peeled off with the sticker and left it bleeding. Yikes. After that, I began using the patches solely for scars from freshly-popped pimples, which the product finally worked wonders for.
The best thing about this patch is how it effectively shields my acne wounds from dirt and makeup. It really leaves the spot protected and makeup-free. The sticker also adheres to the skin surprisingly well, since it didn't slide off my oily skin even after eight hours.
Despite its claims though, I wouldn't say that it looks invisible on the skin. While it's definitely less noticeable than others, I can still easily tell that I have something on my skin while wearing the patch. (Or, that could be my eagle eyes. Other people might not notice if you don't point it out.)
Overall, I personally prefer the Clear Fit Master Patch over CosRX's original acne patches. It suits my makeup-wearing lifestyle better, while having the same wound-healing properties that I expect from a hydrocolloid (a clear bandage meant to protect an open wound). A product like this would come really handy if you're acne-prone and want your breakouts to heal better.
