Rei Germar’s digital calendar looks more like a coloring book. For someone who has been a content creator for almost 10 years now and has amassed more than a million followers on Instagram and YouTube, it's surprising to see that she still works as hard as a newcomer.

Preview caught up with Rei during the launch of her much-anticipated collaboration with BLK Cosmetics, and naturally, the woman of the hour was being pulled in every direction. Yet her smile—fueled by the knowledge that her hard work had come to fruition—never left her face amid the chaos.

Rei Germar Is Embracing Every Side of Her

The collaboration consists of cult favorites from BLK Cosmetics—such as the Glossdrip and the Creamy All Over Paint, to name a couple—in new and exclusive shades created by Rei. At the forefront of the partnership are sets of minis for every beauty enthusiast, which include the Setting Spray, the Brow Lock Mascara, and the False Lash Waterproof Mascara, all accompanied by varying tints and glosses. The products excel without a doubt, but what truly makes these collections shine is their personal resonance.

Rei shared, “Seventy percent of the time, I relate to Active Radiance,” the set curated for those booked and busy. “The girl that’s always on the go, very workaholic. The girl that does it all and gives it her all.” However, she has learned to embrace and show a side of herself that may not always be seen, but is never absent. Inside every strong go-getter like Rei is a gentle woman.

“I love the Love Locked collection the most because it’s my softest side. I’m the super polished Rei all the time, but there’s this very soft, hearty side of me that has always been there.” This collection, Rei revealed, is inspired by her current era as a fiancée to her longtime partner and fellow content creator, Migy Romulo, who showed his all-out support for her throughout the process and on the night of the special launch. “Something I’m extremely proud of is that, in anything I do and in anything I put out, I put my heart in it,” she added.

In 2024, Rei starred in BLK Cosmetics’ Fresh summer campaign alongside Anne Curtis and Sofia Andres, and now, she has her own collection with the brand. She shared her gratitude for every full circle moment in her life, and candidly added that one of them was going from a Summit Media intern to a Preview cover star.

The conversation occurred after Rei had just given a speech for the event’s guests, with the backdrop being a lone, quiet corner inside the crowded venue. Unknowingly, it was a moment that reflected her set created for taking pauses, the Dream State. “A lot of people feel like, when you rest, it slows you down. For me, that slowing down is when you actually go back to your roots, your big why. It’s how you find your way back to yourself.”

Beauty has always played a big role in Rei’s life, and her love for it was one of the factors that launched her prolific career. For anyone who views beauty the same way, Rei shared, “I hope that they would find themselves in this collection, and treat the sets as a mirror.”
