One trend that has stood the test of time from last season is the use of monochromatic color. Taking cue from the Fall 2011 runway of Marni where a mauvey-purple was used on the lips, eyes and cheeks, keeping in one color family not only can look super fresh, but can save you a peso or two as well (double your blush as eye shadow for recessionista chic!). For the Preview August 2011 issue, makeup artist Jake Galvez went along the same route, creating three tonal looks for three different spreads. We take you through the looks and give you the products you need to cop each.
