We know you've been seeing these everywhere, too.

In contrast with previous years, beauty in 2018 has visibly switched over to the easy and effortless—techniques made for the real girl than the pro. The biggest makeup trends, for one, are ones that everyone can try and easily pull off, so if there's a perfect time to start delving into your inner makeup geek, it's 100% now. For proof, we rounded up the most-worn trends we've spotted both online and off that sums up the year in beauty:

1. Peachy Makeup

Peach became the new neutral in 2018. It was popular as an eyeshadow, lipstick, blush—as everything, basically. We think it became such a hit here in particular because it goes so well with Filipina skin's natural warm undertones, especially on deeper skin tones.

2. Dewy Skin

Dewy, glossy skin is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but we can't deny that it looks amazing on camera and in real life. Aside from bathing in highlighter, you can make it work for you with a few drops of face oil or simply opting for a hydrating skincare routine that'll give you a natural sheen.

3. Model Brows

This year, we've officially said goodbye to the Instagram brow. Everyone has become hooked on the model brow look, which is a brushed-up brow that looks barely made-up. One of the most popular tricks for achieving the look is the soap brows technique, where actual glycerin soap is brushed through the hairs to flick them upwards.

4. Korean-Inspired Makeup

We weren't just obsessed with Korean skincare in 2018—we were hooked on their makeup, too. Straight brows, gradient lips, eye shimmers—you name it, a celebrity or someone you know has probably given the look a spin the past twelve months.

5. Drunk Blush

We never thought that messily-applied blush would ever blow up as a trend, and yet we were all here to witness the rise of drunk blush. Most likely inspired by the Asian Flush (or Asians' tendency to bloom red when they drink alcohol), this look involves brushing your blush across one cheek to another, hitting your nose in the process, to create a unique stripe of color on your skin. It looks absolutely adorable, and gives a subtle, sunkissed vibe.

6. Bronze Glow

This is the best look to go for when you want to maintain that post-beach trip glow. Embrace your natural tan and go crazy with the illuminators for a J.Lo-like sheen, but if you're in the pale skin club, a generous buffing of your favorite luminous bronzer should do the trick.

7. Freckles

No one covered their freckles this year, because it was all about showing them off or creating them yourself. We're in love with the way a few light specks can instantly make your skin appear more fresh, whether you're wearing foundation or rocking them on a bare face.

8. Blinding Highlight

We believe that everyone's mantra with highlighter has become this: If you can't see it from space, then you didn't apply enough. Besides, with the number of highlighters we've probably collected, they deserve to be showcased to the world.

9. No-Foundation Looks

With everyone obsessing over perfecting a skincare routine, foundation quickly turned into a near-dispensible part of makeup for many. Instead of covering already impeccable skin, the focus was on making the face look fresh with either highlighter or a touch of a blush.

10. Lipstick as a Multi-Stick

The beauty of cream products like lipstick is that they're amazing for multi-tasking. Not only can you do your blush, eyeshadow, and lips with one product, it makes getting gussied up easier when you're on-the-go. The pretty monochrome look that you achieve is but a bonus.
