It’s undeniable that brows were big in 2013 but after viewing Spring/Summer’s offerings for 2014, it looks like they’re not going anywhere any time soon. A bold brow can do a million things for the face. Aside from feigning facial symmetry, fuller brows also give the appearance of a youthful visage and are the perfect feature to bring forward to balance out a strong eye look.
STEP 1: MEASURE
Using a pencil, plot the beginning of your brows by placing the pencil beside your nostril and aligning it with the front of your brow. Next, find your arch by placing the pencil on its side, using the outermost part of the pupil as a guide. Finally, adjust the pencil and align it with the outer corner of your eye to find where your brow should end.
STEP 2: OUTLINE
Using the guide outlined in the first step, draw a line on the underside of your brow and define the end of your brow by drawing a point.
Don’t be scared of the harsh line! It’ll be blended out later and will make for a cleaner, more defined brow edge.
STEP 3: FILL
Using a neutral-colored eye shadow (more tips on how to choose the right brow color here), fill in the gaps by using short strokes to mimic brow hair. After filling in the spaces, use a spoolie brush to blend out the product.
STEP 4: HIGHLIGHT
Finally, take a shimmery shadow and brush it onto your brow bone to give your brows that extra oomph when the light hits them. Pair your newly neatened arches with a dark smoky eye to intensify your gaze or a bold lip color to balance out the top and bottom halves of your face.
Now you can make like Cara Delevigne and strut!
