When Jun Ji Hyun wore YSL’s Rouge Pur Couture No. 52 lipstick in the hit TV fantasy romance My Love from the Star, it caused quite a stir and a huge surge in sales. You see, the drama craze in South Korea can drive enormous profit in terms of product placement—and this time around, the spotlight is on Park Shin Hye’s new lip tint, as seen on the romantic comedy series Doctor Crush.
The 26-year-old actress has been the product endorser for South Korean cosmetic brand Mamonde since 2014. Its new Highlight Lip Tint, which she constantly wears in the high-rating drama, is now selling like hotcakes, and they’re calling it the “Park Shin Hye effect.”
Formulated with flower oils, the product comes in 10 different shades and gives a sheer, natural-looking color when applied. According to the actress, her favorite for daily wear is Highlight Lip Tint in 06 Pin Spot, although she has also already worn it in 01 Pink Balloon and 07 Main Title.
Mamonde’s Highlight Lip Tint is being sold for KRW 11,000 per pop, which is about P455. It is, however, temporarily out of stock on the brand’s official website. The products are also flying off the shelves in every store, so good luck on getting your hands on one!
