Park Seo-Joon is back to feed our K-drama obsession with Itaewon Class (watch the trailer here!), which premiered on Netflix last February 1. In this series, he plays the ambitious ex-convict Park Sae-ro-yi—a role which required him to get his shortest haircut since starring in the film Midnight Runners in 2017. Being the major change that it is, the Korean actor vlogged the entire process and shared it on his YouTube channel!
To fully transform into Sae-ro-yi, Seo-Joon had the sides of his hair shaved and his fringe trimmed for a military-style cut. He also had to dye his hair back to black to camouflage his bleached strands.
In the same video, the actor and his hairdresser also talked about his go-to hair products, since he often gets questions about it. They didn't share exactly what he uses, but they did reveal that they prefer using hair mousse and hairspray for styling instead of a pomade. "We don't often use pomade because it gives only the shine but doesn't fix hair in place. We style with hair mousse and fix with a spray," says his stylist from Lulu Hair Make Up Studio.
