As one of the most highly-anticipated award shows of the year, the 91st Academy Awards (also known as the Oscars) did not disappoint with its stylish and incredibly talented guestlist. We kept a close watch on the beauty department to spot some stellar hairstyles and makeup looks to cop, and below, we round up our favorites!
1. Lady Gaga
There were no bold colors this time for Gaga, just a wash of flesh colors on her eyelids and gray eyeliner to add light to her eyes. It was her hair that warranted more attention: a spitting image of Audrey Hepburn's hair for the promotions of Breakfast at Tiffany's.
2. Ashley Graham
Hairstylist Justine Marjan accessorized Ashley's sleek chignon with a set of small velvet ribbons from Jennifer Behr, and they looked as if small butterflies landed on the model's hair.
3. Amandla Stenberg
Stunner Amandla Stenberg styled her cornrows old Hollywood style: parted at the one side with a single finger curl. She had the fresh-faced makeup to match, too!
4. Charlize Theron
Flawless as always, Charlize debuted darker locks on the red carpet styled immaculately in a side part. The firey orange-red lip was indeed a bold choice, especially at an awards season that favors monochromatic looks.
5. Laura Harrier
Speaking of monochrome looks, Laura Harrier went for another dress-matching moment with a powder blue eyeshadow. She also proved that you can't go wrong with a relaxed top bun for an effortless, romantic vibe.
6. Lucy Boynton
Breakout red carpet beauty star Lucy Boynton wore no graphic lines and shocking hues like we expected, but perhaps that element of surprise was what made her miles-long falsies haloed by red eyeshadow all the more eye-catching.
7. Emilia Clarke
Emilia Clarke was pretty in pink in a fresh, flushed face created by makeup artist Jillian Dempsey. The Game of Thrones actress' ultra short brunette locks were gelled down and gently curled towards her nape for a clean, low-maintenance 'do.
8. Regina King
Regina King showed us a fantastic example of a swoon-worthy cat eye on the red carpet and you can bet we took a lot of notes. Also, we can't not mention her incredibly on-trend cool girl lob, which was waved to beach babe perfection!
9. Elsie Fisher
We wish we did our makeup as cool as Elsie Fisher when we were 15. The Eight Grade star sported a sultry crease-cutting winged eye that definitely made us do a double-take! She didn't forget to jump on the hair clip trend, too, looking absolutely adorable in a single silver barrette.
10. Kacey Musgraves
Many celebrities wore pink to the Oscars, and perhaps one of our favorites in the beauty department is this beaming look from Grammy award-winner Kacey Musgraves. Makeup artist Moani Lee used Pat McGrath's Skin Fetish Highlighter + Balm Duo in Nude on the singer's cheeks, hence her other-worldly glow.
