Good news for runners! As part of its Unlimited campaign, Nike launches the Unlimited Stadium, a digitally-enabled running track in the shape of a LunarEpic Low Flyknit sole. The stadium, which features a 200-meter running track with LED screens, marries running with a little digital enhancement to help you up your game.
The experience encourages runners to push their limits, providing digital avatars of themselves that grow based on the speed and distance completed after each challenge. Coupled with Nike's innovative footwear and training apps (like Nike+ Running and Training Club,) you're in for the best run experience yet.
And what's a stadium without a little competition? After all, Nike is all for being #BetterForIt. When you visit the stadium and sign up, you'll be asked to wear RFIDs on your running shoes. Why? After your first lap around the track, your speed is recorded and that's where your digital avatar comes in. She (or he) runs your second lap alongside you, only faster, and your objective is to push yourself to run faster than your last lap. Who better to motivate you than yourself, right?
Run faster than you ever did before by beating your avatar
But that's not where the fun ends, you'll also be issued a passport with the Unlimited You challenges (some involve doing a sweaty NTC workout, one is as simple as posting on Instagram,) and for a certain number of stamps you get on your passport, Nike rewards you with prizes. Aside from being a better you, you stand to win a sports massage, an exclusive Nike tee, or a free Uber ride!
The Unlimited Stadium will be open from August 5 to 21, from 4 to 10pm daily, at absolutely no charge. Anyone can just come in at any time and even join the activities lined up like the Nike run sessions every Tuesday at 7:34pm. Go to their website here for more details about the schedule of events and running challenges.
Don't forget to sign up on Nike+ and download the Nike+ apps before visiting!
The Unlimited Stadium is located on 9th Avenue corner 32nd Street, Bonifacio Global City.
