When it comes to tattoos, we usually prefer tiny, delicate ones to make the inking sesh go by a little bit faster since they're so small. After seeing Nadine Lustre's latest tatt, however, we think we've changed our mind. Check it out below:
Back in July, we spotted a brand new tattoo on Nadine's upper arm. The ink looked fresh, as the area was still covered in cling wrap to prevent bacteria from entering the wound.
It can also be partly seen in this super casual selfie she posted a few days later. It definitely suits her style, don't you think?
She usually goes for small, dainty designs, so the addition of this large lotus flower tattoo was an unexpected but pleasant surprise for us. We also found out where she got it done: Vimana Tattoo Studio posted about her ink a few days ago, so we were able to get a clearer look at it.
The caption said: "The secret to happiness is to acknowledge and transform suffering, not to run away from it." It referenced No Mud, No Lotus: The Art of Transforming Suffering by Vietnamese author Thich Nhat Hanh. According to him, without mud, a lotus flower cannot grow—a reminder that we must acknowledge our pain and suffering to truly obtain happiness.
What a beautiful meaning behind her latest tattoo! BRB, we're searching for similar designs on Pinterest.
