Anyone who watched Rosario during the Metro Manila Film Festival last December, knows that apart from the scenery, elaborate sets and the gorgeous costumes, make up played a big role in taking the viewers back in time to the roaring '20s scene.
The closing billboard of the film revealed the creative team behind the strongly arched brows, matte red pouts, and seemingly poreless complexions was none other than the artist of New York born brand Laura Mercier. Little did we know, that when their Regional Training Manager Sean Stevenson came for a visit last September to launch their holiday collection, that he was also in town to design the make up looks Jennylyn was to wear for the big screen.
Rosario displayed two main faces—a neutral wash for day and a smokey eye-red lip combo for night. While on-screen the looks coupled with Jennylyn’s tight finger curls equaled a period piece, off-screen, both are still very relevant for modern day off-screen life. We give you the essential Laura Mercier products to achieve the looks for yourself.
