ICYMI, The Philippines' very own Beatrice Luigi Gomez looked stunning at the Miss Universe 2021 preliminary competition!
The 26-year-old wowed everyone with her unique national costume created by designers Axel Que and Manny Halasan, which was inspired by the Philippines’ mythical serpent-like dragon, the Bakunawa.

During the evening gown portion, Bea also turned heads when she wore a fiery red asymmetrical gown by Filipino designer Francis Libiran.

But aside from her jaw-dropping looks and performances, netizens particularly loved how she proudly showed off her cool tattoo!
In case you missed it, Bea has an armband tattoo on her right arm, and there's actually a special meaning behind it.

In a previous interview with Unang Hirit, the Cebuana beauty revealed that she got the tatt on her 23rd birthday, and it signifies her "blossoming into womanhood."
According to Bea, an armband typically symbolizes "death." But for her, "it [represents] the end of my being a girl" and the cherry blossom detail represents her "becoming a woman."

Before flying off to Israel, the beauty queen also got three new tattoos on her fingers!

On Instagram, Cebu-based tattoo artist Boots Brandon shared snaps of Bea’s newly inked fingers. He wrote, "Tattoo session with the Miss Universe Philippines 2021, Beatrice Luigi Gomez. Thank you for being a representative of unapologetic self-expression despite the odds you've faced in your career. Until next time and good luck in the Miss Universe 2021 competition!"

What do you think of Bea's cool tattoos?
