We were probably the ones who mentioned that double-timing mascaras is bad, but we're also the same people who now admit that we're wrong, because many things work better in terms, and the lash-boosting cosmetic is one of them. In some sort of mini makeup soireé, we've paired formulas to pump up your fringes in any way you prefer—thick, lengthened, just wispy or all the above. This totally makes up for the fact that, in terms of mascara formula, we've yet to find the one.
1. For thin, droopy lashes:
IMAGE Zalora, Estee Lauder
MAX FACTOR Voluptuous Mascara in Black, P795, Watsons; ESTEE LAUDER Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara, P1350, Rustan's
Double the volume with two volumizing mascaras with different wands.
2. For sparse lashes:
IMAGE Louie Aguinaldo, Etude House
MAYBELLINE The Falsies, P459, Watsons; ETUDE HOUSE Dr. Mascara Fixer, P448, TriNoma
Etude House's Dr. Mascara Fixer preps your fringe finely, then The Falsies pumps them up.
3. For straight lashes that need a pick-me-up:
IMAGE Benefit, Allure
BENEFIT They're Real Mascara in Blue, P1200, Greenbelt 5; MAC Haute and Naughty Lash, P1350, Power Plant
Don't be intimidated—the color tames down as it dries.
