Now what was it that we said about taking naked maternity photos?
Just a few weeks shy of her due date, Marian Rivera pulls a Demi Moore as she sits for a portrait that marks a new milestone in her life—motherhood.
Fronting the cover of Esquire’s November issue, Marian strips down to a bra and flaunts her flawless baby bump as she joins Congressman Leni Robredo, Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales, and author of Etiquette for Mistresses, Jullie Yap-Daza, in the magazine’s tribute to women.
On why the men's magazine chose GMA-7's primetime queen to be their cover girl, Esquire's Editor-in-Chief Erwin Romulo explains, “We wanted to focus on women and the experience of being a woman. Visually, we decided that having Marian on the cover during the month she's due to give birth represented a unique experience that we men will never know." He also added:
"I don't recall any men's magazine ever putting a pregnant woman on the cover. [We wanted] to do it first, at least here in local publishing.”
We certainly can’t wait to meet baby Maria Letizia Gracia Dantes. Anyone who wants to place their bets on which cover she might grace first?
