”For the summer, my plan is just to let my hair texture win out—no sense fighting nature,” Preview Associate Editor Eunice Lucero tells Style Bible about her strategy for looking fuss-free this season. “You'll be seeing me a lot with my hair down and mussed up, or put up to keep my fragrance from sticking to my neck... which is another summer plan too: it's going to be fresh, green florals and transparent fruity scents this season. And as always, matte BB cream, natural brows, and textured lips (via stains or nude-pink color), with cool shimmer for evening.”
While she usually chooses an outfit before she decides on a makeup look for the day, skin condition is also a big factor she considers. “Undereye circles? Then it's smokey brown. An unexpected rosy glow? Enhance with pink lips! For the most part I'm a mood groomer though.”
But one look we sure won't be seeing on her this summer? The obligatory tan. Firmly stating that for her, it's a season of “zero sun worshipping.”

I was feeling blue so went for red... lipstick, that is. Clearly the focal point of the whole look is my MAC Runaway Red (it's the best girls, THE BEST) which I just accentuated with Stila's cult fave shade Kitten in a cream eyeshadow formula. I used one of my other classic go-to mascaras, Fiberwig LX (www.sephora.com), which is a lighter fiber mascara, meaning it's perfect for daywear. I used three (!) eyeliners: first Etude House Proof 10 Liquid Liner to define the flick, then filled in the gaps and set it with Cofrret d'Or Gel Liner in BK 30 , and then lightly rimmed the lower lashes with Chanel Noir Scintillant. Every time I use red lipstick I make sure to use a true pink blush—same color family, always -- and today it was MAC's Mineralize. I wanted some polished bedhead (oxymoron?) and Bumble & Bumble's Brilliantine is made for looks like these.
