Two years ago, Maine Mendoza's first lipstick collaboration with MAC Cosmetics flew off the shelves within the first minute of its release online. It quickly sold out in retail stores as well, and many have been clamoring for another Maine-approved lip color since. Luckily, we didn't have to wait that long.
A few months after the @mainedcm lipstick sold out, MAC flew Maine to their headquarters in New York to work on her second MAC Maker collaboration. This is a huge deal, by the way, because she's the first person to have been given a follow-up collab for this series!
And now, the fruit of that visit is finally out—the most important part of it, at least! MAC unveiled the color of Maine's new MAC Maker Lipstick, featuring a photo of her wearing it! Check it out below:
From creating the perfect nude lipstick, Maine went on to create the perfect vampy red hue for this collab. After all, red lips are her signature!
"Always and FOREVER a fan of red lippies and I couldn't be more proud to have my very own shade of red, in a special gold packaging that makes it ~extra special~," says the TV host. In fact, we believe that she's been wearing this exact lip color on Instagram for a while now, starting from that day she made it in NY!
As Maine mentioned, this new shade will come in a gorgeous gold lipstick tube—incredibly fitting for such a collector's item, if you ask us!
Not only that, this collection will have more than just this lipstick. Maine revealed that her lipstick will have a matching bold red lip gloss (or Lipglass, as the brand calls them), because why not?
