MAC Cosmetics is collaborating with Star Trek as the famous franchise celebrates its golden year. In a statement, MAC creative director James Gager said, "Star Trek is an iconic pop culture phenomenon whose storylines pushed gender and racial boundaries." And to revel in this legacy, MAC will be dropping a 25-piece collection that exhibits transformational makeup.
The makeup line consists of eyeshadows, eyeliners, mascaras, lipsticks, powders, and nail lacquers in glittery and shimmery shades and frosty finish. It also includes special Star Trek-inspired faux lashes and brushes.
MAC keeps its sleek, black minimal packaging but with a silver spaceship logo especially made for this collection. Its product names also honor the strong women from the franchise like Seven of Nine, Uhura, Vina Orion Girl, and Commander Deanna Troi.
