The ideal skin care regimen is way more than just using a facial wash. The skin is threatened every day by pollution, UV rays, and other environmental factors, so it needs to be nourished with skin care products to be resilient against these elements. Oh, we also want to emphasize that an extravagant skin care product lineup is not synonymous to a better regimen. In fact, a low-maintenance routine that focuses on what your skin really needs is key.

So, if you’re taking a huge step from your usual bar of soap and makeup remover, here's how you can slowly take extra care of your skin:

1. Use multi-tasking skin care products.

The most obvious way is to use skin care products that are double-duty. By doing so, it won’t be overwhelming for you and your schedule to squeeze in this new habit.

For example, cleansing waters (or micellar water, as French girls call it) act as a facial cleanser, toner, and light moisturizer in one. BB creams offer anti-aging ingredients, sun protection, and coverage; eye creams serve as high-performing lip balms; and face oils (they’re good even for oily skin!) offer Korean-actress worthy glow to the skin without the slick.

2. Put skin care products by your bedside.

The usual "I’m so tired" excuse will be invalid if you strategically place your skinc are arsenal near your bed. In cases when you can’t lift a finger anymore, wipe off dirt and makeup with cleansing wipes and slap on a sleeping pack for express glow.

3. Incorporate it to your makeup routine.

Since most of us are pressed for time, using makeup that also act as skincare is the best option. For example, if you're using foundation, try one loaded with good-for-the-skin ingredients, like hyaluronic acid, SPF, and other plant extracts.

4. Monitor the results.

You’ll be motivated to be more devoted to your newly-minted skin care regimen when you see changes in your skin. Do you notice that your face looks more plump and lifted? How about blemishes? Are they already non-existent?

Also, remember that having a good skin care routine isn’t just about vanity; it’s about being responsible for your natural beauty and investing in yourself.
