Brown lipstick had its time in the spotlight when '90s beauty became a top trend last year, and we haven't let go of the color ever since. Like the classic red, brown shades can add depth and drama to an otherwise simple look. So really, there's no reason to leave it out of your collection even if you're not a '90s makeup fan.
If you ever decide to paint your lips chocolate, there are a couple of things you should remember. First: Sculpt your cheekbones, forehead, and jawline softly with either a contour powder or some bronzer. This way, you can add dimension back onto your face after applying foundation, which erases the natural shadows on your face. Blush helps as well.
If you want to add more dimension to your face, you can also opt for eyeshadow. Choose colors with the same undertones as your lipstick for a seamless monochromatic feel, like what Yassi Pressman did above. A quick wash of brown eyeshadow all over your eyelids should suffice if you're in a hurry!
