Give your skin a glossy boost.

Truth be told, the radiant skin you see in celebrities' photos isn't always 100% natural. Even celebs with amazing skin need a little help from skincare and makeup, and from there, the "glass skin" magic happens.

To prove our point, we asked Laura Mercier Philippines' lead makeup artist Mark Qua to tell us how he achieved this ultra-glossy skin look on Sue Ramirez. Keep reading to see his pointers!

Mark used a combination of dry face oil, moisturizer, and radiance-boosting primer to create a flawless, well-hydrated base. By using thin layers of each product, he achieved plump-looking skin in no time.

According to the makeup artist, he also skipped foundation entirely for this look. He only used a full coverage concealer with a natural finish over any problem areas, and then he blended it seamlessly until it looked invisible on the skin.

Just because you're going for a dewy effect doesn't mean you should skip contouring entirely. For this look, Mark opted for a sheer powder formula that doesn't look heavy on the skin. He applied it with an angled brush to create a more chiseled effect. To tone down the shine, he set Sue's skin with the same powder in a shade closer to her skin tone.

If that's not enough glow for you, you can add some glossy highlighter after. Mark used a cool-toned silver on the high points of Sue's face followed by a wash of warm gloss over her eyelids for a natural contour.
