LOTD: Pia Wurtzbach in Greige Here's how to make a smokey eye with neutrals.

Cool colors like gray and mauve are not so popular among Filipinas for everyday looks. But since they became the trendy shades in the online beauty world, many are starting to look into incorporating these non-browns into their makeup looks. Because as intimidating as these two might seem, you can rock them on your eyes and lips by simply combining them with colors you're already familiar with!

A soft smokey eye like this one on Pia Wurtzbach is perfect for cool-toned makeup newbies. Her eyeshadow was a combination of dark browns, mauves, and a splash of black all perfectly diffused into one color, creating a shade of gray that is the farthest from a dead, zombie-like look. To recreate it, blend your usual taupe brown onto your crease, then smudge a dark brown all over your upper and lower lashline. Dip your blending brush into a soft mauve color and gently diffuse all the browns with it to produce a grayish hue. Wear your favorite neutral blush, bronzer, and dusty pink lip color to complete this cool-toned look!
