For a shade that looks natural on the lips, a good nude lipstick can be quite hard to find. It can neither be too light nor dark or else it won't flatter your skin tone. Morenas know this dilemma all too well, but we might've just found the trick to fix it.
Here, Ylona Garcia wears a rose brown liquid lipstick from Laura Mercier. It develops into a mauve hue once it sets, which blends well with Ylona's skin tone. We asked her makeup artist Anthea Bueno for a tip on how to choose a rosy nude like it, and here's what she said:
"Always get deeper tones of any color that you prefer," says Anthea. "On morenas, I like lippies with a warm undertone, but if you get a slightly muted shade it can still work even if it's cool-toned."
In short, go for the deeper nudes that have less pink in them. This will give your lips more color without making them pop too much. Rosy browns and mauves with a hint of purple are great options for tanned beauties!
