You already know how much we love anything K-beauty, so imagine our delight whenever we spot our favorite trends on local celebs. Case in point: Julia Barretto's take on the haircut we're loving at the moment:
So did Julia really get a fringe? Nope. Her hairstylist Jay Wee used clip-on bangs on the actress. Looks super convincing, right? Jay cut the clip-ons himself, turning them into "see-through bangs," which is a currently popular hair trend among K-celebs. (You've probably already seen it on Song Hye Kyo, Suzy Bae, and Park Shin Hye.)
Aside from how obviously good it looks, the hairstylist also loves this fringe for its versatility. "The wispy texture softens the facial features and you don't have to commit to it because you can part it [differently] to hide the bangs," he says. It's a style you can DIY, too (if you're confident in your abilites with a pair of scissors, that is).
"Just create a triangle section on your front hairline and cut just below the brows," Jay shares. "Start with a small triangle section and adjust accordingly depending on how thick or full you want your bangs."
We're copping this breezy fringe ASAP!
