It's pretty much common knowledge that Filipinas love lipstick. It's perhaps the first makeup item that most of us ever owned or obsessed over, and it's the product we continuously shop for to this day. It's that addictive.
Given this, we thought it would be fun to do a little survey to see just how much Filipinas love their lippies. And since most of us have so many tubes of lipstick on our dressers and beauty kits, we wondered how much of those we actually use up.
So, we approached over a hundred makeup-loving women and asked them this question: Have you ever finished a tube of lipstick to the last bit? Keep scrolling for the result!

After interviewing a total of 130 women, 51 reported to have finished an entire tube of lipstick, while 79 said they haven't. That's a 22% difference!
For the majority, we noticed that the participants had similar reasons for answering no. Here are two that we heard the most:
"Never. I always lose my lipstick before I finish it!" —Kiele Brawner
"I have too many that I can't possibly use up one." —Krysta Frost
Meanwhile, those who have used up a bullet had something in common as well: Their most-used colors are nude shades and liquid lipsticks. In fact, a few brands stood out in the survey, including specific colors.
MAC, Maybelline, and Colourpop were the most frequently mentioned. These three products and shades aced our survey:

According to their answers, it takes an average of three months to a year and a half to completely use up one tube of lipstick. If it's consumed even faster than that, it's credited to the daily usage of the product.

"I’ve finished several tubes of lipstick over the years. Especially when I discover a really nice color or tone that’s flattering, I usually end up using the same lipstick until I use it up." —Jana Villanueva
