This is not the first time Kylie Jenner has been accused of copying professional makeup artist Vlada Haggerty's work.
Back in 2015, Vlada accused Kylie Cosmetics of using one of her images without attribution, but this year the beauty brand is under fire yet again for allegedly plagiarizing its holiday collection promotional image from her. And according to TMZ, Vlada is now threatening Kylie with legal action over the main image in question—a photo of gold powder-dusted hands and gradient red lips, posted by Kylie Cosmetics on November 19.
Vlada shared the original version of the image two months earlier, on September 24. Upon the release of Kylie's photo, the makeup artist took to Instagram, asking, "Haven't you gotten enough 'inspiration' from me already?"
Julia Kuzmenko McKim, the photographer behind Vlada's image, also penned a blog post detailing the background of the original photo shoot. "It breaks my heart to see how large brands take independent, unprotected artists’ work and use them to multiply their wealth. In an ideal world, big brands would easily prevent such backlashes by hiring the artists who have already created something that they would love for their own campaigns. In our case, we are not even in a different city–we are here, in Los Angeles, just a call or an email away. Some companies do so and I applaud those brands for giving a chance to the talented underdogs," she wrote.

As of press time, Kylie's camp remains mum on the issue.
