When it comes to endorsements, Kris Aquino is one celebrity who's got the star power. But despite her attachment to everything from detergent to tuna to diapers, Kris says that every item she lends her face to is built on a true affinity towards the brand. So much so that when Olay first approached her to be their newest Total Effects Brand Ambassador, she wanted to make sure that she got to know the products three months before she gave her final answer.
Thus began Kris' immersion into the land of Olay which has culminated into her now using the brand to treat her body head-to-toe, even seeking out products that are not part of the locally available line. "Nakakatakot to risk your credibility when you're endorsing twenty other products," she went on to say, "Hindi mo namang pwede ibigay ang pangalan mo sa isang product and not believe in it 100%."
Joining the ranks of other high profile Olay endorsers including Miriam Quiambao, Daphne Osena-Paez, Kim Chiu, Anne Curtis and Angel Aquino, Kris sat down with the press earlier today, interviewed by friend Boy Abunda. The new endorser shared that one of biggest skin concerns is looking good not just on camera, but in real life and most especially avoiding the dreaded layogenic (also known as only looking good from afar, hence "layo") curse. Because of her naturally fair skin and Chinese blood, wrinkling was not her primary aging concern, but instead freckling—to which she attests, the Total Effects line has done wonders in lightening. Although she admits that both her grandmothers' genes blessed her with an enviable complexion, Total Effects has allowed her to maintain a glow, at a fraction of the cost of the other products she used to purchase.
Okay, so we know that Olay has lightened her dark spots and hydrated her skin, but what Boy really wanted to know was this: "May epekto ba ang Olay sa love-life?" To which Kris replied, "Di pa, but let's challenge what's possible in 2012!"
